As Spooky Season Approaches, Debut Author Adina Law Invites Readers to Curl Up With a Thriller That Hits Close to Home

Author Adina Law Shares No Place to Hide, Inviting Readers to Trade Ghost Stories for a Thriller Grounded in Something Far More Real, Asking What It Costs a Woman to Trust Her Own Instincts When No One Else Will.

New York City, NY, Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Landon Hail Press announces the release of No Place to Hide: A Novel Trilogy: Book One, the debut novel from New York author, legal nurse consultant, and forensic specialist Adina Law. Written to give voice to the women dismissed as paranoid, grieving, or simply too much, the novel follows Sarah Lange, a mother who refuses to stop searching for the truth eight months after her husband disappeared with their daughter. Blending psychological suspense with the trafficking underworld beneath the streets of Manhattan, No Place to Hide is book one of a new trilogy exploring how far a woman will go when she decides to trust her instincts over everything she's been told.

Grief has a deadline, or so the world likes to believe. Eight months is supposed to be long enough to stop looking, to stop asking, to stop trusting what you know. In No Place to Hide, Law channels more than two decades of experience as a legal nurse consultant and forensic specialist into a story about what happens when a woman refuses to accept the story she's been handed.

What begins as an ordinary moment at Sarah's neighborhood diner unravels into a trafficking network hiding beneath the streets of Manhattan, and a question she can't shake: what does it take to finally see what's been there all along?

The result is a psychological thriller built on real investigative detail, tracing Sarah's pursuit of the truth alongside a decade-long FBI investigation and a diner waitress who has been watching far longer than anyone realizes, arguing that the things we're taught to look past are often the ones that matter most.

Uniquely, No Place to Hide is the first installment in a planned trilogy, laying the groundwork for a larger world that Law will continue to build across future books, one where a single woman's instinct is enough to crack open a system built to stay hidden. It's a book written equally for readers who love a fast-paced mystery and anyone drawn to the quiet, radical act of trusting yourself.

No Place to Hide was born out of everything I've witnessed and everything I've experienced. Twenty years at the bedside, watching people fight for their lives with everything they have,” says Law. “My patients taught me resilience. The real women I've encountered through my legal work — survivors of trafficking and trauma — taught me that the strongest stories are the ones no one wants to believe until they see the proof. I wrote it because some stories don't let you go until you tell them.”

"[No Place to Hide] is a true crime-style story with lots of twists and turns. If you like reading about strong women saving the day, this is the book for you."  — Amazon Reader Review

No Place to Hide is more than just an entertaining crime novel – it contains facets of truth that many women endure, bound together in a chilling literary journey,” writes Samantha Joy, Editor-in-Chief and Founder of Landon Hail Press. “Adina Law applies her professional wisdom and lived experience creating a psychological thriller that feels impossible to put down," Joy adds.

Adina Law writes at the intersection of truth and fiction, and she knows exactly where the line is, because she has lived on both sides of it. With over two decades of clinical experience and an entrepreneur who has built businesses at the intersection of medicine and law, she has spent her career bearing witness to survivors, trauma, and the quiet resilience of people fighting battles no one else sees.

No Place to Hide is Law's debut novel, rooted in everything she has seen professionally, and everything she has carried personally. Readers who want more can find her writing on these same themes in her Substack, Adina Law.

Law's mission extends beyond the page. Through No Place to Hide and the two books that will follow, she hopes to give voice to the survivors and quiet fighters she has spent her career bearing witness to, and to remind readers, especially women, that their instincts are worth trusting, even when the world tells them otherwise.
